One has to be very disappointed when you upgrade a Revit file from 2008 to 2009, and see what use to display correctly now does not. The problem in question is a model net hatch on a basic curved surface.
Build a wall in Revit 2008 of an Arc shape.
Give its surface material a model net hatch of about 3000mm spacing at 45º to the horizontal. It views perfectly in 3D and elevation.

Now save the file and bring it into Revit 2009. Noticed the surface hatch does not display correctly in 3D or Elevation.

Considering the fixing of surface hatching was one of the big selling points of Revit 2009, this is very, very disappointing. It’s amazing as it seems to deal with more complicated patterns well. The only solution I can see is to change it to a drafting hatch. We all know would be very messy to get the right size and it prevents us from using more than one scale. Come on Autodesk, get your act together.
